Mastodon - Crack The Skye.Tidak few who agrees that one of the album's most at-most wanted in 2009 was the release of the Atlanta quartet, Mastodon. Many feel curious about what deals will be done by Troy Sanders on their fourth full album after the release of "Blood Mountain" in 2006. And it also became their second release with a major label. Previously, Troy Sanders provides an illustration that their new album will sound more easy listening and more to do experiments using additional instruments such as banjo.
And it also immediately baptized when installing early tracks 'Oblivion'. Do not expect to find much wailing guitars and screaming here. The concept of "Crack The Skye" is different from before but I feel its unique mastodons like to bring metal music to a much higher level. A progressive music with a bandage experiments that not just anyone can do it.
The second song 'Divinions' a little more powerful and this song opens with a banjo instrument ditanggungjawabi by guitarist Brent Hinds as the intro. 'Divinitions' is also wrapped with some technical guitar and they also received vocal support Scott Kelly, who is also known to be the vocalist in the band's progressive neurosis. So no wonder this song has been named as their early singles. The fourth song, 'The Czar' is divided into four topics, namely Usurper, Escape, Martyr and Spiral. These are epic numbers and again remain progressive and bertechnical and it is not impossible also this is one of the most genius tracks they ever made. (At least according to me - ed).
Until the last song, 'The Last Baron "also featuring epic feel of that seemed to bring us feel the theme of the lyrics of their songs on this album that tells the story of Rasputin and the Russian legends as they pour on the cover of this album. And in our opinion, if not excessive this is one brilliant album release this year even though we do not give points perfectly. Moreover, this album becomes more intense with the presence of Brendan O'Brien as producer. This man had previously been owned by Aerosmith menanggungjawabi release. - Berontakzine.com
